E30 Cruise Control and Brake Switch Connector 3D Prints
The cruise control and brake switch plug connectors, which are located underneath the driver’s kick panel, are important electrical connectors where the plastic housings are prone to crumbling and breaking off the snap tabs, leading to people zip-tying or hot-glueing the terminals in. The connector housings and terminals are part of the body harness, which means they don’t have searchable part numbers on RealOEM. Sometimes, you can find a pigtail on eBay from a parts car, however these are also approaching 40 years old and will have similar failure.
Below are 3D models I made of a pigtail I bought, which are simplified a bit to be 3D-printed. Click here for the onshape CAD link.
Brake Switch Connector
Part numbers molded on the housing:
AMP 1-927 507-1
BMW 1 378 110
The equivalent BMW housing part number is 61131378110
The straight version appears to be part number 61131378108, used on the E36 brake switch, and may still be available. This may work also for the E30 switch.
Cruise Control Cut Out Switch Connector
Part numbers molded on the housing:
AMP 2-927 507-1
BMW 1 378 111.9
I could not find an individual BMW part number.
Note: this connector is for the late-model cruise switch. The early model connector pigtails appear to be much more common to find on eBay. This is same series as the brake switch connector but with different keying.
Terminals
The terminals appear to be standard 90 degree 2.5 mm terminals. BMW part number 61131376224 found in the larger connectors for the headlights, fog lights, etc.
Equivalent AMP Connector Series
Searching the molded AMP part numbers did not yield any compatible modern AMP connectors. However, the straight version used on the E36 does have an equivalent AMP part number (1-828816-1), and being that connector is still used on 2025, TE does list that part number. Unfortunately, it is a restricted item, so this connector series most likely is specific to BMW and TE does not sell it to distributors.
